Description
The price includes a kayak, a canoe trolley for land transportation, a paddle, a life jacket, a sprayskirt and a map with the corresponding canoe route description.
You can reach Surahammar by the Bergslagspendeln train or by your own car. Once there, you can pick up the kayak, trolley, paddles, life jackets, and sprayskirt at our self-service canoe rental located behind “Stationsgatan 2”. The kayaks are locked with a combination padlock outside, and you can find the rest of the equipment in the container with our logo on it. The waterway from Surahammar to Hallstahammar is a calm and beaver-rich experience with amazing areas along the way, a short lift in Ålsätra past the canal lock, and finally a longer lift through Hallstahammar to “Skantzö bad och camping” where you finish and lock up your kayak.
Please specify the number of people, as well as your height and weight during the booking, so we can provide suitable paddles and life jackets.

Our double kayaks are very spacious in the cockpit. In this kayak, one person steers (the rear paddler), but both paddlers contribute to speed. This canoe is propelled using a double paddle and a sprayskirt. The sprayskirt is a thin fabric that covers the cockpit to prevent water from splashing into the kayak.
