Description
A tour from Borgåsund offers paddling on Lake Mälaren, Freden, or why not the delta of Kolbäcksåns towards Strömsholm Castle. If you paddle onto Freden, there is a beach a couple of kilometers inward where you can take a break if you want. It is also possible to paddle out towards Mälaren and more open waters, but you choose how far you want to paddle before turning back to return the equipment in Borgåsund. The tour is therefore very easy to adapt if you just want to be out paddling for a shorter while.
SUP stands for “stand up paddleboard”. It is maneuvered with a single paddle while standing, but it’s also possible to kneel to improve balance. A life jacket and leash are used when paddling. The leash is a strap that is attached to one end of the board and the ankle to keep the paddleboard nearby if you end up in the water.
