Description

Discover the beauty of Strömsholms canal by renting a kids kayak in Hallstahammar! Our hourly rentals offer you the opportunity to give your child a memorable experience on the water. With this youth kayak, they can glide through calm waters and explore nature in a fun and safe way. Perfect for an afternoon excursion or a family day out!

With a smooth rental process, you can quickly embark on your paddling adventure. The paddle trip begins and ends at the same location, our canoe rental at “Skantzö bad och camping” in Hallstahammar.  Start any time you like from our self-service rental, but if you want extra assistance, choose a time when the rental  is staffed. You can find our opening hours at the top of the page titled “Hallstahammar Rental”.

Once you have everything you need, roll down to the water and enjoy the calm surroundings along the canal.  During the paddle, you can choose how far along the canal you want to paddle before turning back. The most natural turning point is at the canal lock in “Sörstafors”, however, It’s also possible to paddle on “Skantzsjön” if the little adventurer wants to explore a smaller water area closer to our rental.

Our child kayak “Tahe Marine Lifestyle Solo” is a small and easy-to-handle sea kayak for children and teenagers up to 160 cm. It is very safe and stable thanks to its flat bottom, both during paddling and when getting in and out. The kayak is easy to maneuver because it is not very long, so even the young paddler can easily turn it around. Just like our kayaks for adults, this one is propelled with a double paddle and has a spray skirt. The sprayskirt is a thin fabric covering the cockpit to prevent water splashes from getting into the kayak.
