Description
Embark on a wonderful day trip with beautiful calm paddling from Surahammar to Hallstahammar. You can reach Surahammar by the Bergslagspendeln train or by your own car. Once there, you can pick up the Canadian canoes at our unmanned canoe rental located at the back of Stationsgatan 2. The canoes are locked with a combination lock outside, and you will find the rest of the equipment in the container marked with our logo.
The paddling route from Surahammar to Hallstahammar is a calm and beaver-rich journey passing by lovely summer cottages and stunning scenery along the way. There is a lift past Ålsätra canal lock and, finally, a longer lift through Hallstahammar to our canoe rental next to “Skantzö bad och Camping” where you will end your trip and securely lock the canoe.
The price includes canoe rental, canoe delivery, a canoe trolley for land transportation, paddle, life jacket, and a map with the corresponding canoe route description. The map provides information on what you might see along the way, and guides you forward.

The Canadian canoe is an open boat with 2 seats. This boat is easy to pack and can be paddled with a single paddle. It is great for smaller lakes and river trips. The Canadian canoe has a total maximum weight capacity of 250kg, with a maximum of 200kg for human weight. In our canoes, we take a maximum of 2 adults per boat.
